Frequently asked questions
Why is there no sound?
Check system volume, the selected output device, and that the tab is not muted. HDMI monitors often steal the audio output. In Chrome you can pick a sink in the devices panel.
What is out-of-phase for?
The right channel is inverted. Near-silence in a mono sum means the stereo channels are in phase; loud mono sum can indicate a phase or summing issue.
What do the left and right tests check?
They play a tone in one channel only, so you can verify the speakers or headphones aren't swapped or unbalanced.
