Frequently asked questions
How is key different from code?
code is the physical key (KeyA). key is the character with layout and Shift (“a” / “A” / “ф”).
Why do some shortcuts miss?
OS-level combos (Alt+Tab, etc.) never reach the page. In the focus zone we block normal page keys.
Why do some keys not register together?
Budget keyboards have rollover limits — certain combinations share circuits. The tool logs every keypress, so ghosting is easy to spot.
What is the keypress history for?
It lists recent keydown events with key and code so you can spot missed presses, layout mismatches, or ghosting without guessing from the live pad alone.
