Why empty in Safari?
Battery Status API isn’t implemented there for privacy — a browser limit, not a site bug.
How accurate is the percent?
Browsers round and sometimes cache. It’s a web estimate, not an OS power meter.
Why does it show 100% when the OS shows 80%?
The Battery API often reports 100% when it cannot read the charge, or when a charge limit is on (the laptop is “full” at 80%). Trust the system tray percent.
Why is battery status unavailable?
The Battery API works mainly in Chromium browsers on devices with a battery; desktop PCs and some browsers simply don't expose it.
What affects the time estimate?
The estimate comes from the OS and fluctuates with the current load — brightness, CPU work and background apps change it minute to minute.
