- Local history of generated passwords
How to generate a strong password
Set the length
Move the slider — 16+ characters is recommended for important accounts.
Choose character sets
Toggle letters, digits and symbols, or switch to passphrase mode.
Generate and check strength
Entropy and the estimated crack time update with every generation.
Copy the password
Copy in one click — recent passwords stay in the local history.
Frequently asked questions
How are passwords generated?
With the browser's crypto.getRandomValues — a cryptographically secure source, not Math.random.
What is entropy?
A zxcvbn guess-entropy score in bits — how many guesses an attacker needs, not the classic log2(|alphabet|^length) formula. For everyday accounts, aim for the green “strong” band.
Password or passphrase?
A passphrase of random words is easier to type and remember at similar strength; a dense password wins when length is limited.
Are passwords stored or sent anywhere?
No. Generation is local; the history lives only in your browser tab until you clear it.
