Tools for travel: distance, units, time zones
Haversine distance between coordinates, km/miles and °C/°F, plus Unix time to local date. Browser-only.
Drop two coordinates into the distance tool for a great-circle km figure and a bearing. It is not road routing: a mountain or a border still sits between the points.
Unit conversion covers km ↔ miles and °C ↔ °F for tickets, cars and weather apps that refuse to switch locale. Statute vs nautical miles are different units; flights often mean nautical.
Unix time shows up in booking APIs. Convert epoch to ISO and local time so a “timestamp in the email” matches the clock on the ground. Clocks and time zones still belong to the OS.
A trip note mixes a great-circle distance, a unit conversion such as kilometres to miles, and a timestamp from a ticket. The distance is not a road route. The timestamp is an instant, and the local offset still has to be applied by you. This page groups the geo tool, the unit converter, and the time converter.
FAQ
Driving distance?
No. Haversine is as-the-crow-flies. Use a map app for roads.
Nautical miles?
In the length list, not the default. Default is the statute mile.
Does it use my GPS?
You paste coordinates. The page does not stream your location to us.
