Crop image online — square, 16:9, 4:5
Crop a photo online free to 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 or custom pixels. Drag the frame in the browser.
Choose a ratio for the destination: square for avatars, 4:5 for Instagram, 16:9 for video, 9:16 for stories.
Drag handles or type width and height. Rotate 90° if the camera saved the photo on its side. The crop is local.
A 16:9 frame on a 4:3 photo cuts the top and bottom or the sides, depending on how you drag. A square for an avatar usually wants the face in the upper third, not the geometric center. The pixels outside the rectangle are discarded in the export; the original file on disk stays put. Aspect ratio is the width divided by the height, so 1920×1080 and 1280×720 are the same ratio. This page opens the crop studio. Rotation, if the horizon is tilted, is the previous step.
