Amount in words online — spell out a number
Number and amount in words online: currencies, cents with carry, batch. Local in the browser.
Type an amount with a minus, comma or dot. Cents round half-up with carry: 1.995 becomes two dollars and 00 cents, not “1 dollar 00”.
The selector has ten currencies. Yen rounds to whole units. Ordinals are 1–100 only. The scale goes to a quadrillion; larger values show overflow instead of a truncated phrase.
Batch: Enter adds a line, paste several lines or numbers split by “;” to fill the list. For a contract, turn on a capital letter.
1000 in a Russian contract line is one thousand, and the currency word follows the grammar of the number: 1 рубль, 2 рубля, 5 рублей. Kopecks are the fractional part, two digits, and they decline on their own. English words do not decline. A leading zero does not change the value, and a number past the tool’s limit should error instead of printing a nonsense string. This page opens the amount-in-words tool. The glossary only defines the phrase.
