Title Case vs Sentence case — which case for a heading
Title Case vs Sentence case: capitalize each word or only the start of the sentence. Online converter.
Sentence case lifts the first letter of the sentence. Russian headings and button labels usually look like that.
Title Case lifts each word and keeps the hyphen: hello-world → Hello-World. English news headlines do that more often. For a slug use kebab-case, not title case.
Title case lifts the main words of a headline: The Night Market. Sentence case lifts only the first word, the way a sentence does: The night market. Small words and existing brands such as iOS need a rule, or the transform will smash them. Neither mode translates or transliterates. This page is the choice. The converter opens on title case, and transliteration is a separate mode.
