Wi‑Fi QR code online — join without typing a password
Generate a Wi‑Fi QR: SSID, WPA/WEP or an open network. A guest scans and joins without typing the password.
Network name and password encode as WIFI:T:… The phone offers to connect.
Do not post that QR on the open web if the network is a home one.
The payload looks like WIFI:T:WPA;S:MyNet;P:secret;; with a trailing pair of semicolons. T is WPA, WEP, or nopass. A semicolon or backslash inside the password must be escaped or the phone stops at the wrong field. The password is visible to anyone who scans the poster, so do not print a guest code that is also the admin password. Hidden SSID networks often fail even when the string is correct. This page opens in Wi-Fi mode. A code that should open a web page belongs on the URL converter, not here.
